Candidates advocate for dynamic school library programs and positive learning environments that focus on student learning and achievement by collaborating and connecting with teachers, administrators, librarians, and the community. Candidates are committed to continuous learning and professional growth and lead professional development activities for other educators. Candidates provide leadership by articulating ways in which school libraries contribute to student achievement. 

Reflection

I am a huge advocate for the media center.  One of the ways that I was able to reach parents, students, teachers and the community is through social media.  I created a Instagram Account and Twitter Account.  I use these accounts to show all of the great things occurring in our media center.  I also have contests and trivia on social media.  We currently have over 100 followers!  I post booktalks and advertise books on social media.  We have even been retweeted by Georgia Public Libraries and some famous authors have liked our posts.
