New Program/ Special Projects

I am so excited to announce that we will now have a bookmobile for the Meadowcreek cluster! Gwinnett County Schools Transportation has provided us with a bus and it has been completely gutted! Renovations have begun to make it into a mobile library and I have applied to be one of the traveling library media specialists. They said they needed someone who speaks Spanish and English and who is familiar with the cluster. I said, "That's me!"

The bookmobile has been provided for our cluster so that the students will have access to books over the summer. Many of our students don't have transportation to public libraries in the summer so this is ideal! Also, Gwinnett County Public Library moved the local branch from the neighborhood to the courthouse. This has made it difficult for our students to get to the library.

The bookmobile will only operate in the summer but plans are in the working for other uses for the bookmobile during the school.
